Catch Can & Custom Boost Block

D.I.Y. - Catch Can & Custom Boost Block


1. Gather Your Tools / Parts - Catch Can - Boost Block - Assorted Zip Ties - Assorted Hose Clamps - Steve Miller - 2 Ft 1/4 Inch Vacuum Line - 5 Ft 7/32 Inch Vacuum Line - 10 Ft 5/8 Inch Reinforced Heat Rated Line - Xacto Knife - Drill - Assorted Drill Bits - Assorted Needle Nose Pliers - WD40  

2. Pop Your Hood And Remove Your Intake With Your Intake Out Of The Way Remove The Factory Line (Red) To The Turbo By Pressing On Each Side And Wiggling It Free. Then Remove The Smaller Hose (Blue) From The Boost Solenoid With Some Needle Nose Pliers On The Hose Clamp (Ref Pic 1) Trace The Line Back To The Intake Manifold And Remove For Retainers On The Way Back (Ref Pic 2) You Wont See Any Oil Residue Inside My Turbo Intake Cause I Just Had My Turbo Replaced By Chevy 3 Weeks Prior.






3. Once Against The Fire Wall (Ref Pic 3) Remove The First Ratchet Style Clip (Red) And The Last Clip (Green) Complete Remove From The Car. Then Squeeze The Hose (Blue) Going Into The Intake Manifold And Wiggle Free. Once Free Here Comes The Fun Part Chase The Vacuum Line (Orange) Under The Intake Manifold And Use Needle Nose Pliers To Remove The Hose Clamp.


4. With The Entire PCV Hose And Vacuum Line Setup Out Of The Car (Ref Pic 4) Use Your Xacto Knife To Cut The Hard Plastic (Red) Connecting The PCV Hose To The Fittings. Once Separated Do The Same To The Other Side.


5. Now Spray Each Factory Fitting With WD40 And Push The 5/8 Inch Line Onto Each Fitting And Clamp Tight (DO NOT GO CRAZY FITTING IS PLASTIC & BARBED) 

6. Back To The Fun Part Feed Your 1/8 Inch Line From Above The Intake Manifold (Be Careful The Nipples Are Plastic And Easily Broken) And Reuse The Factory Hose Clamp Leave About 16 Inches - 2 Ft Of Hose You Will Trim Later Better Safe Then Sorry

7. Attach Your 7/32 Inch Vacuum Hose To The Boost Solenoid (Be Careful The Nipples Are Plastic And Easily Broken) Near The Turbo And Reuse The Factory Clamp If You Can. Leave About 3 Ft Of Hose You Will Trim Later Better Safe Then Sorry

8. At This Time Choose Your Mounting Locations For Catch Can & Boost Block. I Had Steve Miller Custom Fabricate Brackets For Both. THANKS STEVE!!!

9. Once Catch Can & Boost Block Are In Preferred Locations Attach Your PCV Fittings & Start Running Your Hoses.Trim & Attach Your 5/8 Inch Hose To The Catch Can. Trim & Attach 7/32 Inch & 1/4 Inch Vacuum Hose To The Boost Block 

9. Double Check All Your Connections And Hose Clamps. For Smaller Hoses Use Zip Ties. Also Zip Tie Anything Loose Tightly Down. Any Leaks Will Throw Codes!!!

10. Sit Back And Enjoy You Hard Work (Ref Pic 5 - 10)
